As for ISO 9001:2015, the appended '2015' indicates the year of revision. The most current revision was published in 2015.   • What is the difference between ISO 9001 certification and ISO 9001 accreditation?

    There's no difference. Both terms mean that an independent organization confirms (certifies or accredits) that your ISO 9001 quality management system meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. This confirmation is evidenced by a certificate and may be referred to as ISO 9001 certification or ISO 9001 accreditation. Another common term is ISO 9001 registration.

  • I am not sure if I should get certified to ISO 9000, ISO 9001 or ISO 9004?

    ISO 9000:2015 is a set of guidelines that describe the fundamental concepts of a quality management system. ISO 9004:2018 offers guidelines for enhancing an organization's ability to achieve sustained success. You cannot get certified to either of these standards.

    The only one of these three standards you can get certified to is ISO 9001:2015.
