Why Choose the Gap Analysis & Implementation Plan?

The purpose of a gap analysis is not to produce the longest possible list of deficiencies. It is to show you where ISO 9001 genuinely requires attention and where your current processes, software and controls are already good enough.

Know What to Change:  Focus effort on genuine gaps instead of rebuilding processes that already work.

Know What Not to Change:  Avoid unnecessary procedures, forms, approvals or software introduced merely because they are common in other QMSs.

Turn Findings Into Action:  Receive a prioritized project plan with clear tasks, responsibilities and sequencing rather than a report that simply tells you what is wrong.

The consultant gave us a totally clear plan. We knew exactly what to do and when, which took all the stress out of the project.

Northern Manufacturing overcame initial startup difficulties and achieved certification in only 4 months leveraging our Hybrid Approach.

What to Expect

We follow the business first, compare it with ISO 9001 second, and turn the differences into a practical implementation plan.

1.  In-Depth Discovery

Your consultant follows the way work is actually performed – remotely or on-site – by reviewing processes, talking with the people involved and examining relevant documents, records and systems. The objective is to understand both the genuine gaps and the controls you already have in place.

2.  Collaborative Planning

The consultant works with your implementation team to decide how each genuine gap should be addressed. Where several solutions are possible, we look for the simplest one that fits your existing workflows, responsibilities and software.

3.  Roadmap Delivery

You receive the Gap Analysis Report and a tailored Implementation Plan that converts the findings into specific tasks, priorities, responsibilities and next steps. We then brief leadership on the plan so the project can move forward with a shared understanding of what actually needs to be done.

A useful gap analysis should tell you two things with equal clarity: what needs to change, and what doesn't.

The Hybrid Advantage:  A Plan Built for the Tools You'll Use

This service forms the planning foundation of our Hybrid approach when combined with the ISO 9001 Certification Toolkit. The Gap Analysis shows where your current business already satisfies the standard and where work remains; the Implementation Plan then maps those tasks directly to the Toolkit's documents, training and project guidance.

The difference between the three approaches is mainly who does the work:

DIY Toolkit:  Your team plans and implements using the complete in-house system.

Hybrid Approach:  We analyze and plan; your team implements with the Toolkit and adds consultant support where useful.

Full Service:  Our consultant plans, leads and performs most of the implementation for you.

How to Get Started

Three steps from purchase to a business-specific implementation plan.

1.  Prepare Your Foundation (Recommended)

For the most immediately actionable result, use the service with the ISO 9001 Certification Toolkit and complete the included Implementer Training beforehand. This gives your team the basic ISO knowledge needed to participate in the planning decisions and lets the consultant map findings directly to the implementation system you will use.

2.  Schedule Your Analysis

Choose your preferred start date at checkout:

Remote Analysis:  Can typically begin within 1 week.

On-Site Analysis:  Requires 3 weeks notice for scheduling.

Worried about timing? You'll get a full refund if we can't agree on a date.

3.  Prepare for Your Kick-Off

Once scheduled, your consultant sends the agenda and confirms which people, documents and systems should be available. For remote work, we also confirm video conferencing and screen-sharing arrangements so the session can focus on your processes rather than technology.
