I see that you offer this course on-site and remotely. How does the remote version work?
This course includes both lecture-type training and skill development through real-life audit exercises. The training is quite similar to the on-site version except that course participants experience the instructor on a screen.
It's still live training, and participants have the same opportunities to interact with the instructor as in a classroom setting. We accomplish this through video conferencing technology.
Course participants can take the lecture-type training together in a conference room with video conferencing capabilities (including a sufficiently large screen, speakers, and microphones for the participants to engage in discussions). Alternatively course participants could join from any location using their own computer.
During the real-life audit exercises, participants are expected to visit - as a team - different departments of their company. One team member needs to carry a mobile device with video communications software. And to practice auditing of electronic documentation, a laptop with screen-sharing app would be ideal.
As part of the preparation for this course, we will explain the process to you in detail, discuss technologies, and test connections. We currently use MS Teams and Join.me, but we are also prepared to use technologies already in use at your company.
Our instructors have several years experience in teaching this course remotely. If you are concerned about certain aspects, feel free to contact us.
Do the participants have to take an exam?
No, there is no exam. The instructor continuously evaluates comprehension during the course and provides additional support where needed.
Can this course be used to support our ISO 9001 implementation efforts?
Yes, conducting this course while your company is still setting up its quality management system can aid the implementation. The real-life audit exercises will not only allow participants to practice their auditing skills but also encourage staff to adopt ISO processes. As part of the hands-on training, our instructor will identify opportunities to improve the ISO system and suggest better solutions. Upon request, we could also focus audit exercises on specific areas of your organization.
How does this course compare to the Custom ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Training?
There are two main differences between both courses:
The lead auditor course includes these additional topics: managing an audit program and leading audits and a team of auditors.
The lead auditor course provides significantly more time to discuss ISO 9001 requirements in the context of your organization and develop auditing skills in real-life exercises right at your company.
If scheduling and budget allow for it, the lead auditor course is a better choice due to its ability to deepen understanding and practice real-life auditing. In short, the lead auditor course will generate the best and most value-adding auditors.
What are the advantages of custom training?
Our custom courses represent an evolution of traditional, classroom-based training. They are engaging presentations, tailored to your organization's circumstances and needs, and taught either at your premises or remotely through video conferencing (virtual live classroom). Compared to other training methods, these courses offer several advantages:
Rather than the sort of "one-size-fits-all" teaching you would typically find in other training programs, our custom courses are finely tuned to the needs of both your organization and its employees. As such, these courses are invariably more relevant, effective and memorable than other training solutions.
Our expert trainers can adapt the course on the fly to adjust to the understanding and attitude of the participants.
Our custom courses allow for questions and discussions of topics specific to your organization.
Course participants can learn and practice auditing hands-on at their own organization.
Our instructors are chosen not just for their experience but for their charisma and strong interpersonal skills. They excel at creating a relaxed environment that engages course attendees and optimizes learning.
Online training and video courses have their own characteristics, pros and cons. But for ISO 9001 internal and lead auditors looking for hands-on training that's customized to suit their organization, this custom course is ideal.
